The Classification Unit determines how best to classify the inmate population to ensure that the appropriate inmates are housed together in order to create the safest environment possible for both staff and those incarcerated. The Classification Unit makes housing assignments based on several factors including the detainee’s charge and their level of compliance to the facility’s Rules and Regulations.
