The Kane County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division consists
of several specialized units which include the following:
Detectives from the various specialized units work a variety of cases including:
- Property Crimes
- Violent Crimes
- Drug / Gang Crimes
- Computer-Related Crimes
The Detectives and Evidence Technicians utilize many cutting-edge investigative
techniques to solve crimes including:
- Electronic Surveillance
- Advanced Crime Scene Processing
- Computer Forensics
- Undercover Operations
- Use of Informants
- Polygraph Examinations
- Advanced Interview / Interrogation Techniques
The Division is currently staffed by approximately 18 sworn Detectives and
2 civilians.
