The Office of Professional Standards is the unit within the Sheriff’s Department
which is tasked with investigating employee misconduct. It is the mission
of the Kane County Sheriff’s Department to provide the highest level of service
in the most professional manner possible and to guarantee the constitutional
rights of citizens. As such the members of the Office of Professional Standards
are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring employees conduct themselves
as professional law enforcement agency representatives.
