Each Deputy has been given a primary geographic area in which they patrol.
They have been encouraged to take "ownership" of that area. With
this concept when concerns arise, the Deputies have been empowered to work
for a resolution of the issues.
In addition to the above functions, many of the members of the Patrol Division have collateral duties such as Canine Team, SWAT, Bomb Squad, Field Training Officer and Negotiator.
