The Records Division is located within the Sheriff's Dept. with office hours of Monday through Friday; 8 AM to 5 PM and can be contacted at 630-232-6840. The Records Division is responsible for maintaining all traffic accidents and incident reports handled by the Sheriff's Department. Copies of traffic accidents can be purchased through the Records Dept. for $5.00 or purchased on the internet at www.tracview.com for a service fee. Copies of incident reports can only be obtained with the filing of a Freedom of Information Act or a court order. FOIA forms are available on our web site and can be mailed, faxed to 630-208-9811 or e-mailed to sheriffrecords@co.kane.il.us Responses will be available 7 business days of the date it was submitted.
