The Kane County Sheriffs Corrections Division is responsible for the daily operations of the Kane County Adult Justice Center.
The new jail opened in September of 2008. We have capacity to house up to 576 male and 64 female detainees. The facility also maintains on-site food preparation, medical, dental services, religious services, recreational opportunities and educational services for the detainees.
The Corrections Division is also responsible for staffing the holding facility at the Kane County Judicial Center, where averages of 80 detainees per day are transported for court appearances. This division is also responsible for detainee movement outside the jail for medical appointments and court appearances in other jurisdictions.
The Kane County Sheriff's Office is constantly looking for individuals who share our ideas of community service. Our officers must believe in community involvement. It is through these partnerships that the Sheriff's Office can provide the best service to our citizens. We believe that commitment to our community is the best investment for our future as a society.
If you believe you can make that commitment to our community, come join the ranks of one of the leading Corrections divisions in the State of Illinois.
