Public Safety Personnel are Sworn Police Officers (Deputies). As a Deputy you do not have to start nor will you ever be required to work in the jail. Working for the Sheriff's Department gives you a log of opportunities that an Officer would not have working for a town or village.

Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years old at time of appointment
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Have proof of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid drivers license
- Be a Resident of Kane, DeKalb, Dupage, Kendall, McHenry, or Will Counties within 18 month of being hired
